Program description and what is included

The English course is 12 hours per week. Before arrival, students take an online language test and, depending on the results, are divided into groups of no more than 15 students per class. Teachers are certified and structure the course so that the children speak, improving their pronunciation and writing skills. PLUS methods allow you to reinforce and use new vocabulary outside the classroom. At the end of the programme, the children will receive a certificate. You can learn at any level.

Description

PLUS runs summer English programmes at the University of Hertfordshire. The school is conveniently located 25 minutes from the Harry Potter Studio Museum, 1.5 hours from central London and just a few steps from Queen Elizabeth Children's Residence. The campus covers a large area with a park in Hatfield. It is a small town with a lot of history and British tranquillity. The university is ranked in the top ten by Times Higher Education 2017. In 2018 it became Gold according to a government assessment. The most popular choice is the Department of Business and Creative Technology. 

The programme combines a language course, sporting activities, games and excursions. There are playing fields and tennis courts on site. You can relax in the shade of park trees or have a picnic on green lawns. For an extra fee kids can sign up for management workshops. In 6 hours they learn the basics of brand building, marketing strategies and finance. The vocabulary is professional, which is more challenging, so the workshops are for B1 level. At the weekend groups go on a full day outing in London, Bath and Cambridge. In the evening they are engaged in movies and monopoly.

Tuition and accommodation are on campus. Single rooms with facilities and weekly cleaning. Classrooms are within walking distance of each other. The university cafeteria serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a cafeteria on campus.
